Willpower and Discipline?

Having been vegan so long, I think I’m easily past the willpower stage.

I say willpower because the topic came up in one of the Vegan Groups I belong to on Facebook.

I agree that in the beginning, it took a certain amount of willpower to not eat fried chicken, or barbecued pork, or even some seafood sushi.

But once you get past a certain stage during one’s vegan progression, there’s really no need for willpower, and if you also are vegan because of the non-killing of sentient beings, namely the animals, then it’s easy to forego the willpower.

Just watch a vegan documentary like Earthlings, and it could just change you forever.

Had I seriously been a committed vegan during those three years, I think I would’ve been feeling much better… for one, I was so tired on an omnivore, meat-based diet, that I was sleeping until 1pm or more in the afternoon. Of course, I was drinking tons of coffee and espressos to keep me going and even resorted to chocolate-covered espresso beans to keep my energy up.
