Vegan Billie Eilish Sweeps Through The Grammy’s With Five Awards

18-year-old singer Billie Eilish won five awards at the Grammy’s. She became the youngest to win Album Of The Year for her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? She also became the first woman to win four other awards, which were Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year were awarded for her single “Bad Guy”. Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album were awarded for her album, whom she co-produced it with her brother Finneas O’Connell. One thing to also note is that Billie Eilish is vegan.

Billie Was Raised Vegetarian

Who Billie Eilish Is

Billie Eilish was raised as a vegetarian since she was born. But in 2014, Billie adopted a vegan diet. Although she cited a lot of reasons, animal welfare was the number one reason. Last year, she went on Instagram to raise awareness of animal cruelty in the dairy industry. She shot footage of a large undercover dairy investigation at Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana. This facility supplies cow’s milk to the dairy brand Fairlife, a subsidiary of Coca-Cola. In the video, farm workers were punching, throwing, and dragging calves. The calves were separated from their mothers and burned and hit with branding irons. Dead calves were buried away from the public. Billie said:

I keep my mouth shut most of the time about this because I believe everyone should do, eat, and say whatever they want…and I don’t feel the need to shove what I believe in in anyone’s face. But man…if you can watch the videos that I just posted and not give a [expletive] that it’s YOU contributing by LITERALLY EATING the creatures that are being fully tortured just for your pleasure, I feel sorry for you.

According to the 18-year-old singer who won five Grammy awards, we are contributing to the brutal torturing and slaughtering of animals by eating them as food. We are paying these facilities to continue killing billions of more animals for food.

Billie Eilish’s View That A Vegan Diet Is Good For Your Health

Billie Eilish said that a bad diet can impact your body and used pooping as an example. She stated:

Pooping is one billion percent underrated. Pooping is my favorite part of the day. There was one day I pooped eight times…That was the best day of my life. And they were all solid, good poops too. I’m really talking about poop out here. It’s really about your diet, because you can have miserable poops. People who don’t like pooping are probably people who eat like [expletive].

I can relate to what Billie Eilish said. As a vegan, I noticed I have become more regular in the bathroom. It is because a vegan diet, especially one that is healthy, has a lot of fiber. On a vegan diet, you eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. These foods contain a lot of fiber, which can increase your bowel movements. Because a vegan diet has a lot of fiber, it can reduce the risks of chronic diseases, such as cancer, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.

Billie Eilish’s View On How A Vegan Diet Saves The Planet

Back in September, Billie joined a vegan actor named Woody Harrelson to convince people to switch to a vegan diet to save the planet. In a video called “Our House Is On Fire”, the pair spoke about climate change and the increasing need to take action. Billie said in the video:

Our earth is warming up and our oceans are rising.

Wood Harrelson went to say:

From California to the Amazon, our forests are burning. We are in a climate emergency.

Woody Harrelson

The two asked that people take responsibility for the planet and to help by giving up meat, dairy, and plastic. Furthermore, they urged the politicians to pass legislation to protect the planet. It has been shown that animal foods cost more land and water to be made and processed for food. I have mentioned a lot of times that the Amazon rainforest is burning because farmers are clearing a lot of land to raise cattle for beef. Billie Eilish and Woody Harrelson also know what is going on and that we can take climate change more seriously by switching to a vegan diet.

Leading By Example

Finally, Billie Eilish leads by example. She showed her fans how to order vegan at Taco Bell. She was filmed placing an order at a Taco Bell drive-thru speaker:

I’m gonna get 18 bean burritos with only beans, nothing else. Only beans inside. Eighteen burritos and only beans. You know what? Make that 20. Swear to god.

Billie also made an appearance on the web series “Hot Ones” hosted by Sean Evans. The series includes celebrity guests being interviewed while eating spicy chicken wings. For her episode, Billie was eating vegan hot wings. She cooled herself by drinking water and soy milk. She completed all 10 rounds of the challenge and kept eating afterwards. Billie also created a U.S. road trip plan that features her favorite vegan-friendly restaurants. She teamed up with UberEats to create the road trip. The route included Cafe Gratitude in Los Angeles, ATX Food Company in Austin, Texas, Love Life Cafe in Miami, and By Chloe in New York City. And just recently, Billie has won five Grammy awards at 18 years old. And she is thriving on a vegan diet.
