Are Vegans at Higher Risk for Stroke?
There’s been a lot of talk about Vegan and Vegetarian Diets posing higher risk for stroke.
To be honest, I believe there is a lot of propaganda out there that demonizes the Vegan Diet, but this latest study lopped Vegans and Vegetarians all into one for stroke risk.
You have to ask yourself, why would studies be published to critique the vegan diet? Do you think that the all-powerful meat & dairy industries have the chance to lose billions of dollars in profit, if more and more people went plant-based and vegan?
Well, consider this, the dairy industry lost 1.5 billion last year because more people are turning to alternative milks, cheeses and butters. This is a fact, that these alternative, vegan products are become more popular.
Anyway, there is still a smaller percentage of vegans in the U.S., 6% I believe?
But the fact is, most people in America are on meat-based diets, and the evidence is overwhelming that these people are at greater risk for stroke, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and even gout.
And more evidence is becoming apparent that a plant-based diet that focuses on whole foods is much healthier than the Standard American Diet (SAD)!
